Tea dances for dancing passengers

Bus loads of customers have been slipping on their dancing shoes and enjoying a fantastic afternoon out with us!

We have thrown various free tea dances throughout the West of Scotland in recent months for our customers. So far, they have been held in Largs, Gourock, and Glasgow; with special Christmas events held in Paisley and Greenock. All tea dances involve tea, coffee, cakes and entertainment, and a raffle amongst other surprises.

We are delighted with the recent turn out for these events, with the Christmas dance attracting 300 last week. There is a charitable aspect to the day too as McGill's donates prizes for a raffle, all funds raised are donated to a different charity each time. Over £600 has been raised so far for charities such as CLIC Sargent, Macmillan Cancer Support, Yorkhill and British Heart Foundation due to the generosity of those attended.

Marketing Manager, Isabelle Murray said: "We've been overwhelmed by the popularity of our tea dances. The idea behind them was to offer a thank you gesture to our loyal customers who regularly travel with us. We're grateful for their custom and wanted to let them know we appreciate it. It's an enjoyable afternoon for everyone- including the McGill's team!

"Our last four tea dances have been so popular, we scheduled two over Christmas and three ths year! We are glad our customers are enjoying them and we're looking forward to doing more events throughout 2016."
