Ryanair Airport Transfers

McGill's now has a direct airport transfer from Glasgow Airport to Glasgow city centre; on behalf of Ryanair!


From Friday 15 January, McGill's is operating a Ryanair Coach Transfer.

This means, Ryanair passengers, can pre-book a McGill's coach transfer ticket to Glasgow via the airline, when they book their flight to/from Glasgow Airport.

2. How will I identify the bus?

The coach will display on the destination screen 'Ryanair Transfer - Glasgow'.

The below logos will also be displayed on the coach:


3. Do I need a paper ticket to board?

Passengers can either display their e-ticket on their phone or print their ticket before travelling and hand to the driver. You must have a pre-paid ticket to board.

4. Where will my luggage go?

The coach has plenty space underneath in the hold for passengers to store their luggage for the duration of the journey. Smaller bags and rucksacks etc. can be stored in the overhead lockers.

5. How long is the journey from the airport to Glasgow city centre?

Peak time journeys are around 30 minutes, off-peak journey times are approximately 22 minutes.

6. Where will the coach stop in Glasgow city centre?

Passengers can depart their Ryanair Coach Transfer at bus stops adjacent to:
  • Glasgow Central train station
  • Queen Street train station
  • Buchanan Bus Station
Passengers can pick up their Ryanair Coach Transfer, back to Glasgow airport, at these city centre locations:
  • Killermont Street
  • North Hanover Street
  • St Vincent Street

7. What happens if my plane is delayed?

Our staff will check arrival and departure times to work around any disruptions or delays of flihts coming into Glasgow. So don't worry, your coach will wait on you until you arrive. 

8. What happens if I miss my city centre pick up?

You can reach the airport using McGill’s local bus network. Take McGill’s 17 or 38 service from Union St, Glasgow to Paisley town centre. From here, you can board a McGill’s 757 on Smithhills Street to Glasgow airport. Call us free on 08000 51 56 51 for information if this occurs.
9. When should I be at my pick up point?

Your coach will depart the airport 40 minutes after your flight has landed.

Please be at your Glasgow city centre pick up point at least 2 hours before your flight is due to depart, as the coach will leave Glasgow 2 hours prior to your flight departure.

10. Is it possible to buy a ticket on the day of travel for this service?

No, only pre-paid bookings from Ryanair's website will be accepted fo travel.
